Happy birthday Karen

 I am glad you are having a fun trip.  I love the pictures.  I am sorry Luna had a hard day, that sounds like a really long day.  Casey's caving friends wife does photos so he got me her number.  Thanks for getting them done also, I am excited.  This morning Isaac had driver's Ed.  They drive around as course in Smithfield so I dropped him off and went to exercise class which was high and I had so much fun.  Last we we ordered a really expensive field detector so we could find gold up in the mountains.  This morning we went and got a old metal detector off of ksl.  It will be fun.  We picked up Isaac and met up with Randy then went up to Idaho and went fishing in his boat.  It is so beautiful up there and the leafs are starting to change.  It ended up being winding and they had to go to a different dock to get out.  They caught two small fish that we couldn't keep.  Oliver's hat fell in the water and he fell in while trying to get it.  A really nice guy kayaked over to it and got it for us.  We had a fun time overall.

​Luna fell asleep so early last night. I had a hard time falling asleep so I didn’t go to bed till late. Then Luna woke up early. I was tired and felt under the weather.So we watched sponge bob. We needed to get our truck inspected. So we took that and got it done. Basics the second we left the house till the time we got back Luna so was emotional. I think she cried for 2 hours straight. While the car was getting Inspected I took her to slim chickens and got chicken nuggets. She calmed down for a bit but then something made her upset again. The Grover’s daughter had a play tonight we went to. I told Luna she could have chocolate if she didn’t cry the whole time. It worked and she did great. It was a long day of emotions for the little one. We are planning on taking it slow tomorrow to reset. I’m glad your trip is fun. Thanks rachel for setting up pictures for us

 Vacation has turned out really fun. Today we really did it all. My legs are tired. I bet i almost got as many steps as rachel today. 20578. We at the archives and saw a lot of the documents. I was surprised how faded they were. It was hard to even tell what they were. Man was there a lot of security. We went to the art mueseum. We had lunch there. We walked over to the gardens by the capital. Casey would have loved it there.  We went over to the capital and took a tour. It is a beautiful building. I was really surprised that most of the pillars are made out of sandstone instead of marble. The tour was nice. You could walk over to the library of congress through a tunnel. What a beautiful building. It didnt look like there were any books. We went to the lookout and you could see.them all. You had to have a card to go.in and touch them. They checked our bags to make sure we didnt have any books on our way out. We got a.crazy idea.to go see the Lincoln memorial at the other end. We hopped on trax and got off by the washington monument. We walked over to the Lincoln memorial. It was a ways. Luckily they did have an elevator up to the statue. It was magnificent. We walked back to trax and came home. We were going to eat out but the places we picked was closed. Go figure. We just came home and had dinner. We are going back to the mall and pick a few mueseums we haven't seen. It wont be so much walking tomorrow. Unless we go back to the Lincoln memorial. The chances.of that are slim. it is hot and humid. Have a great Sunday. I cant believe how fast time is going. Love mom

 Today was good.  Work was slower this morning and I worked on somewhere reports.  I had some change orders in the afternoon.  For cross country Isaac ran to Aggie ice cream and they got a free one then they drove him back.  I picked him up after work.  Ruth's friend Liliana came home and they walked over to the park and had fun.  I was so proud of Oliver, he had a bad grade in math so he talked to his teacher and figured out what was going on.  Then we worked on what he was missing today.  He knew how to do everything and had been paying attention.   He is doing great.  Oliver had a birthday party and then he played D&D at the library.  He had a lot of fun at both of them.  Isaac had a cross country dinner at the park and then he went out with his friends.  Ruth's pants ripped and we tried to find a new pair but shopping is so emotional for her.  We didn't get anything.  I am glad you guys are having fun and we love seeing the pictures.

 We had a good day. We had to take the red line to the zoo and I have never seen such long elevators. They went on and on. We were way underground. I have never been on that long of an elevator. The zoo was so beautiful. It was so tranquil. I was just amazed how much room the animals had. It had such big windows on the displays. The elephants have a huge place. There was an orangutan that had a hand broom and dust pan and would get a handful of hay and sweep and sweep it. Then he would. Lean his brushes and start again. We were there all day. The pandas were asleep.and we went back and they were eating. That was something to see. It rained last night so it was humid but.cooler which was nice. No one wears jeans. They all.wear linen.  I like your rug Rachel, it looks nice. My day was good we got up and went to the zoo. It was a really cool zoo. They had nice enclosures for the animals. I am still having trouble getting pictures to post on the blog so that is why I texted them. Robin there were national guard men's at the metro station when we got off on the way back. Tomorrow we are going to hit the monuments and museums on the mall tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great day. Bye

Thursday

 Oliver has a cold so he stayed home from school today.  He had a sore throat and a cough.  Isaac had early morning practice so it is hard to work out driving him there and picking him up.  It is so dark also.  Work went well.  I just have a couple projects that I am working on slowly and it is going great.  Isaac had violin lessons and Oliver had cello lessons.  I took Ruth to the hobby lobby so she could get more beads.  Isaac had driver's Ed.  They brought a family in that was a in a bad car crash to scare the kids to drive safely.  Me and the little kids mowed Peggy's lawn.  Casey went running and then helped at the end.  We went and got ice cream.  Ruth got three scoops.  Oliver wanted three scoops but he ordered wrong.  I got a new rug for downstairs and I love it so much.

​today felt really busy and everyone was on edge. We have our convention in 2 weeks and everyone is burning the midnight oil. After work Jeramy had his front tires replaced. One was bald. And me and Luna went home and cooked dinner. She started to talk about school a bit so that was fun. She loves he PE class that is the main thing she talks about. Then Jeramy got home and we had dinner. I mowed the front lawn while Luna rode her bike

 I just sent out pictures. I cant get them to go on the blog. We had a good day. I am surprised how close every thing is. We drove the metro.down to the spy mueseum. I was impressed by how clean and how everything so well. There was a lot to look at. We stayed a long time. We did find some fast food places. They we like Toronto. All underground by the metro. We had lunch there. We finished and walked around the area. We found the castle. The grounds were just beautiful. I love all the flowers. Then the space and air mueseum. It was hot and humid today. We were tired and so we stopped at the store and got stuff to make nachos. They tasted good. Tomorrow we are off to the zoo. I am excited to see the baby elephant. Hope all is well in utah. Love you guys. It is weird to have it so late here already. 

Thursday

 We had a fun day. We got up and went to the spy museum. It was fun. They have a ton of stuff there and you get an cover identity and mission to complete in the museum. After we were done with that we walked down to the Smithsonian castle (it is being renovated so we couldn't go inside). Then we went to the airport and space museum. Tomorrow we are heading to the zoo. I hope everyone had a great Thursday.

 I am glad that you guys made it and the plane went well.  I hope you have a blast tomorrow. Robin your yard looks really nice, good job.  Everything is going well here.  Work was good and I had a lot to do.  It was hard to sit that long though so I walked around a bit.  Ruth had dance today and she likes that.  Isaac had cross country and driver's Ed.  It is a long day for him.  Oliver played with his friends.  Me and him went on a walk and that was nice.

Wednesday

​I’m glad the d.c group made it safe and things are going well. Today was my work from home day. It started at 7 though with team chats and was back to back meetings. I went into the office after lunch and had a few vendor visits. Luna needed more yogurt. The doctor told her to eat yogurt since she was taking antibiotics. So she always tells us she has to have it because the doctor said lol. So I picked up a Walmart order after work. Then Luna had swim class and Jeramy took us out for ice cream after. Our grass is growing wild now it’s cool and raining so I mowed most of the back yard before it got dark

We made it

 Everything has gone according to plan. We made it through that without a hitch. We found our gate and picked up some Lunchables for lunch on the plane. They were very generous with their treats. I watched Harry Potter and slept through most of it. The airplane was so smooth. There wasnt an empty seat. The metro was right at the airport. We got passes so we can ride it anytime. We found our hotel really easy. It us right next to the Marriott. I felt fancy. It is a nice apartment. It is nice to have a living room. We found an Indian place close by and it was good. We needed treats.so we found  a grocery store called the giant. It was a good place and close. We came home and vegged. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We are spoiled. DC

 We have made it to DC. The flight went good and we found our hotel pretty easily. We then went out walking and found an Indian restaurant to eat at for dinner. Then we stopped at a grocery store to getting some breakfast and snacks. Tomorrow we are heading to the international spy museum. I hope everyone had a great day. Bye

Anniversary

 We had a nice day. We went to hear the organ recital at the temple grounds. The scaffolding ia.all.off the temple and you can walk around d the temple. It was beautiful. I am excited and nervous all at the same time for the trip. We are going to have a good time. Have a great hump day. Love mom

 Happy anniversary Mom and Dad.  I am excited for you guys to go on your trip tomorrow.  Have a blast.  Today was good.  I went in early so I could go to a school thing at Ruth's school.  It wasn't quite what I was thinking it was but it was nice to talk with everyone.  Isaac had cross country and then driver's Ed until 8:30 so he had a long day.  But he liked everything and was happy.

Monday

 Last night a mouse ran across my floor so we went to lowes and got lots of traps. Karen needed some cash so we went to the mall they have a wells Fargo and walked hobby lobby. I love hobby lobby. Karen studied and dad went to.work. I did laundry and just vegged. Poor oliver and luna. I hope they feel better. I hate throwing up and ear aches. Good luck everyone getting back to the real world. Monday

 We had a day off and it was nice.  Poor Oliver threw up in the middle of the night and his stomach hurt today.  Isaac went to bear lake with Bradley and they rented a jet ski.  He was really excited to go.  Casey cleaned all out windows and they look really nice.

Long time

​sorry I haven’t blogged in a long time. Saturday we went to the farms it was fun and I’m glad we went. Then Luna went to grandmas to spend the night. We were exhausted and just lounged about. Sunday we picked up Luna. We took a nap and then played games. We stayed up late. When Luna was falling asleep she said her ear hurt so I gave her Tylenol. This morning she woke up and her ear still hurt To the touch. So I took we to urgent care and she has an ear infection. They put her on antibiotics . She’s acting fine and no fever it’s just swollen by her ear. So we are going to have her go to school tomorrow. We just took it slow tonight so she could rest. She was in a really good mood so we had a fun day

 I had a nice day. Luna spent the night and we had a nice time. We got up and went to the zoo. I always like walking the zoo. We rented a stroller and luna would draw the animals. We hooked up for lunch and luna went back home. We all took naps and just vegged. Rachel.what a beautiful hike. Do people hang stuff in that tree. That is fun. I cant believe that next week we will be on our trip. It just doesn't feel real. Have a great holiday Monday. Love mom

 Today was good.  We got up and went to church.  I played the piano because the other pianist wasn't feeling well.  Then we came home and ate then took off to go hiking.  We went up my steam mill lake.  We went a different way to scout out places for the treasure but we made it to the steam mill engine to put back the can.  It was a beautiful trail and it was fun to go somewhere different.  We had a fun time.
